CBS Atlanta Launch

Ajinkya Hukerikar played a hands-on role in the launch of CBS Atlanta, helping demonstrate how virtual production could be used to create a broadcast environment without relying entirely on a traditional physical set.

His responsibilities included:

• Supporting the creation and implementation of a virtual broadcast environment for the launch of the new CBS Atlanta station.
• Helping demonstrate how virtual production could create an immersive studio environment without the cost and limitations of building an entirely physical set.
• Contributing to the use of interactive and spatial visual presentation, allowing broadcast content to be presented within a three-dimensional environment rather than through conventional flat graphics.
• Supporting the CBS Atlanta launch event, where the virtual production environment was showcased to CBS News leadership.
• The virtual environment was used during the launch event for the CBS News president’s address, providing a live demonstration of the technology’s capabilities.
• Participating in the on-air launch-day production, where members of the production team were brought into the virtual studio environment during the broadcast.
